On December 12, 2024, the 4th International Electrolyzer Conference was grandly held. Mr. Dalin Hu, Vice President of Shanghai H-Ray Co., Ltd., was invited to attend and shared his profound insights on PEM electrolyzers and systems. In his keynote speech titled "High Efficient PEM Water Electrolysis Hydrogen Production Technology and the Innovation and Development of Renewable Energy Hydrogen Production," Mr. Hu provided an in-depth analysis of the current development trends in the PEM electrolyzer industry. He shared Shanghai H-Ray's cost reduction plan for PEM electrolyzers, which aims to increase current density while reducing the use of precious metals, targeting a cost reduction of 15% to 20%. It is estimated that by 2030, the cost of PEM electrolyzers will be only twice that of alkaline electrolyzers. Mr. Hu emphasized that Shanghai H-Ray remains committed to driving technological innovation, continuously increasing R&D investment, and striving to enhance the performance and efficiency of PEM electrolyzers while reducing production costs to meet the growing global demand for clean energy.
During the subsequent round-table discussion on corporate overseas expansion strategies, Mr. Hu noted that private enterprises differ from government-owned enterprises, and their strategies will vary accordingly. First, the superiority and reliability of product performance are particularly critical. Second, obtaining various international certifications is a prerequisite for overseas expansion. It is reported that Shanghai H-Ray's core technologies have already obtained certifications such as ISO9001, CE, and ASME. In terms of overseas expansion models, cooperation with foreign enterprises, forming subsidiaries with foreign capital, and seeking overseas agents for sales and warranty services are several viable operational models. Finally, and most importantly, talent development is key. The familiarity of professional market sales personnel with English and overseas regulations determines how far a company can go on its international journey.
